Haircare

Haircare is essential for maintaining clean, healthy, and strong hair. It involves regular washing and conditioning to keep your scalp and strands nourished. Moisturizing is key to preventing dryness, while gentle detangling and using products suited to your hair type help reduce breakage. Limiting the use of heat and harsh chemicals ensures your hair stays strong and vibrant. Regular trims and deep conditioning treatments can promote hair growth and maintain its overall health, making it look and feel its best.

Prepoo (Pre-Shampoo)

Prepoo is a treatment applied before shampooing to protect the hair from the drying effects of cleansing. Typically, oils, conditioners, or natural ingredients like aloe vera are used to create a barrier, making hair easier to detangle and less prone to breakage during the shampoo process.

Cleansing/Shampoo

Shampooing removes dirt, oil, product buildup, and impurities from the scalp and hair. It’s important to choose a gentle shampoo that suits your hair type. For dry or curly hair, sulfate-free shampoos are often preferred as they cleanse without stripping away natural oils.

Conditioning

Conditioner is applied after shampooing to restore moisture to the hair. It helps to smooth the hair, making it softer and easier to detangle. Conditioners seal the hair cuticle, preventing moisture loss and reducing frizz.

Deep Conditioning

Deep conditioning treatments are more intense than regular conditioners. They provide extra hydration and nourishment by penetrating the hair shaft. Often left on for 15–30 minutes, deep conditioners help to repair damaged hair, restore strength, and improve elasticity.

Leave-In-Conditioner

Leave-in conditioner is applied after washing and conditioning to provide ongoing moisture and protection. It stays in the hair without needing to be rinsed out and helps with detangling, frizz control, and keeping the hair hydrated throughout the day.

Moisturizing

Moisturizing with hair butter, like shea butter or mango butter, helps seal in moisture and adds shine. These butters are rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, making them perfect for locking in hydration, especially for dry or curly hair.

Styling

Styling is the final step where you shape your hair into your desired look. Depending on your hair type and style, this can involve using gels, creams, mousses, or curl enhancers to define curls, add volume, or smooth out strands. Heat styling tools can also be used, but be sure to apply a heat protectant first to avoid damage.
